A continuation of the Tropical Opening Session, the Emerging Leaders Welcome Party provided an excellent venue for conference attendees to meet and make connections.

Each year SERC-NAHRO holds their annual business meeting to update membership on the status of the organization and conduct official business. This year, SERC-NAHRO approved their new slate of officers for the upcoming term.

In order to support the SERC-NAHRO and MARC Scholarship funds conference attendees were given the opportunity to “Pie a President”. SERC nation raised the most money for our scholarship fund, so President Anthony Goodson was pied at the conclusion of the exhibitor reception.

Join us in congratulating our agency’s youth for their participation in the What Home Means to Me Poster Contest. Young artists from across the SERC Region had their artwork selected from state competitions to be displayed and judged at the SERC Annual Conference.

At the conclusion of this year’s conference, attendees dressed in their best for the Black Tie Gala. In addition to the presentation of awards, attendees were able to dance the night away, play casino games, and get their caricature drawn. The perfect end to a fantastic conference.

The Executive Committee was able to come together to visit the College Football Hall of Fame located in downtown Atlanta. Attendees were given the opportunity to get into the game and see their own college football story.

SERC-NAHRO holds executive committee meetings several times throughout the year. These meetings allow committees to stay up to date on current happenings, plan upcoming SERC Events, and work to accomplish their goals.

The SERC-NAHRO Executive Committee had the opportunity to come together and kick-off their committee meetings with some food, fun, and fellowship. Attendees were able to enjoy the beautiful 365-degree views of the Atlanta skyline at the Polaris restaurant.

SERC-NAHRO, through the work of our various committees, makes a strong impact on our member agencies, our residents, and the affordable housing industry. SERC Committees meet several times a year to discuss industry happenings, organize and plan training opportunities, and unify advocacy efforts.
